About

I am a photographic artist, based in the South West. I work with landscape and place, from the watery Somerset Levels, to the post-industrial landscape of the Stroud valleys.

Time spent walking and retracing routes across the landscape is key to my practice. By observing a place for months, and often years, I seek to reveal the unseen and the insignificant, and by quiet observation, elevate the beauty of ordinary and overlooked places.

I studied photography at West Surrey College of Art and Design and hold an MA in Photography from London College of Communication. I have worked on a range of commissions, residencies and projects for galleries, museums, charities and commercial clients.

My work has been exhibited widely in the UK and internationally and is held in a number of collections, including the V & A, London, and has been recognised with a number of awards. I have published three books with Another Place Press and was a Senior Lecturer in Photography at UWE Bristol for a number of years.
